Hey guys, welcome! My name is Rachel and this is my small site I call Growing Up Grass Fed. Its basically my journey through healthy, sustainable eating while raising a tiny human.
My approach to food is pretty straight forward. It should taste good, make you feel good, and be simple to prepare. Our family follows a loose Paleo / Whole30 model so you’ll find lots of gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free options here.
What to expect:
Really stupid easy recipes that you couldn’t mess up if you tried. And seriously, I’ve tried.
If the recipe is label *cooking with kids* it means that it’s literally written so that you can make these dishes with your kid! There are steps to make it easier, like getting things prepared first. There are steps for the little ones too.
If it’s not labeled as such then it’s probably because it involves a lot of stove time. But everything is for the most part kid friendly to eat.
Because I’ve been cooking with my son since he was 18 months old (1 1/2 years old for you non-parents) and it has been so much fun. He gains confidence in the kitchen, he becomes more coordinated, he follows directions, and most importantly he has fun. And the reward is always a tasty meal.
So I wanted this blog to be more of a journey through our cooking adventures. Mostly just a place to store my recipes and videos.
